Végé-pâté Handmade on Beautiful Salt Spring Island

"Growing up in a family of gardeners, bush pilots, guides and artists with summers in the north and winters in the south, I developed a deep connection to the environment and people of British Columbia. After a few years in Montreal and Vancouver, I now live in a beautiful cabin on Salt Spring Island close to family, friends and nature. For over 20 years I worked as a chef in remote northern mining camps where I was solely responsible for the ordering, planning and cooking of all meals everyday in a tent. And down south, I was catering for the film industry in Vancouver for upwards of 400 people.

For many years I had a desire to create a food company that would facilitate cooking with a socially conscious vision and in 2016 Salt Spring Harvest and our végé-pâté product line was born with everything made by hand in my dedicated gluten free kitchen.

I'm proud to be a local food producer who is continually moving toward what feels ethically and emotionally right; this is our core ethos at Salt Spring Harvest.

Our Pâté Collection

Our végé-pâtés are handmade on Salt Spring Island using organic ingredients in a certified gluten free kitchen. With a base of sunflower seeds and root vegetables, our végé-pâtés have a soft but substantial texture perfect for spreading on sandwiches or wraps, sprinkling on top of salads or serving on a charcuterie board. Saltspring Harvest végé-pâtés are yummy, wholesome and high in protein. Free from preservatives, eggs, dairy, wheat, soy and nuts, they are a perfect addition to plant-based diets and those who have food sensitivities.
